Oilers vs Blackhawks

 OILERS VS BLACKHAWKS

4-1 Oilers FINAL

Game commentary
Draisaitl and Podkolzin have figured out each other's game and generate a powerful offense, similar to McDavid/Hyman. The Oilers 3rd line has made great chances happen with persistent forechecking. The 4th line even generated a couple chances in the 1st period.

Chicago has come back with a couple good chances, but Ingram stood in position. Oilers should be ahead by 3 goals. Finally Hyman scores, 1-0 in 1st period, in Chicago, on a perfect feed from Bouchard, on the heels of 11 high quality chances. Watching Kapanen play both ends, he's clearly one of the best two-way players on the Oilers, and his back check is very excellent, stopping Connor Brown in the high slot from plugging an equalizer late in the 1st period.

Even the 4th line for the Oilers is creating offense opportunities, after Bouchard makes it 2-0. Oilers getting great positional goaltending from Ingram.

Low tempo road game played by Oilers keeping the score 2-0 and Ingram has played fantastic. Lots of ice-time for 3rd and 4th line of the Oilers has been part of the change of pace. Chicago missing Bedard from their lineup tonight makes it possible, since the others  haven't stepped up.

It was really a one-goal game until the late stage when Chi pulled their goalie and Bouchard iced a goal. Then Chicago gave one to Draisaitl for being so pretty.
